Obeese children and Starving Childrenhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK220230/Among girls, the prevalence was 11 percent in 2000 and 13 percent in 2009, and is projected to be about 20 percent in 2020. In the United States, the prevalence of obesity among boys was about 14 percent in 2000 and 18 percent in 2008, and is projected to be about 27 percent in 2020.Children become overweight and obese for a variety of reasons. The most common causes are genetic factors, lack of physical activity, unhealthy eating patterns, or a combination of these factors. Only in rare cases is being overweight caused by a medical condition such as a hormonal problem
https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/childhood/causes.htmlWhat are the Consequences of childhood obesity?Increased risk of impaired glucose tolerance, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes. Breathing problems, such as asthma and sleep apnea. Joint problems and musculoskeletal discomfort. Fatty liver disease, gallstones, and gastro-esophageal reflux (i.e., heartburn).
https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/childhood.htmlFor children and adolescents aged 2-19 years1:
The prevalence of obesity was 18.5% and affected about 13.7 million children and adolescents.Obesity prevalence was 13.9% among 2- to 5-year-olds, 18.4% among 6- to 11-year-olds, and 20.6% among 12- to 19-year-olds. Childhood obesity is also more common among certain populations.Hispanics (25.8%) and non-Hispanic blacks (22.0%) had higher obesity prevalence than non-Hispanic whites (14.1%).Non-Hispanic Asians (11.0%) had lower obesity prevalence than non-Hispanic blacks and Hispanics.1Read CDC National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) data brief pdf icon[PDF-603KB]The prevalence of obesity decreased with increasing level of education of the household head among children and adolescents aged 2-19 years.Obesity prevalence was 18.9% among children and adolescents aged 2-19 years in the lowest income group, 19.9% among those in the middle income group, and 10.9% among those in the highest income group.Obesity prevalence was lower in the highest income group among non-Hispanic Asian and Hispanic boys.Obesity prevalence was lower in the highest income group among non-Hispanic white, non-Hispanic Asian, and Hispanic girls. Obesity prevalence did not differ by income among non-Hispanic black girls.Note: Obesity is defined as a body mass index (BMI) at or above the 95th percentile of the CDC sex-specific BMI-for-age growth charts.
https://www.who.int/end-childhood-obesity/facts/en/Commission on Ending Childhood ObesityCommission on Ending Childhood Obesity (ECHO)About the work of the CommissionWorking GroupsNewsInformation resourcesFacts and figures on childhood obesityKey factsThe number of overweight or obese infants and young children (aged 0 to 5 years) increased from 32 million globally in 1990 to 41 million in 2016. In the WHO African Region alone the number of overweight or obese children increased from 4 to 9 million over the same period.
The vast majority of overweight or obese children live in developing countries, where the rate of increase has been more than 30% higher than that of developed countries.
Without intervention, obese infants and young children will likely continue to be obese during childhood, adolescence and adulthood.
Obesity in childhood is associated with a wide range of serious health complications and an increased risk of premature onset of illnesses, including diabetes and heart disease.
Exclusive breastfeeding from birth to 6 months of age is an important way to help prevent infants from becoming overweight or obese.
Consequences of obesity in childhoodObese children are more likely to develop a variety of health problems as adults. These include:
cardiovascular diseaseinsulin resistance (often an early sign of impending diabetes)musculoskeletal disorders (especially osteoarthritis - a highly disabling degenerative disease of the joints)some cancers (endometrial, breast and colon)disability.Contributors to obesity in infants and childrenEvery aspect of the environment in which children are conceived, born and raised can contribute to their risk of becoming overweight or obese. During pregnancy, gestational diabetes (a form of diabetes occurring during pregnancy) may result in increased birth weight and risk of obesity later in life.
Choosing healthy foods for infants and young children is critical because food preferences are established in early life. Feeding infants energy-dense, high-fat, high-sugar and high-salt foods is a key contributor to childhood obesity.
Lack of information about sound approaches to nutrition and poor availability and affordability of healthy foods contribute to the problem. The aggressive marketing of energy-dense foods and beverages to children and families further exacerbate it. In some societies, longstanding cultural norms (such as the widespread belief that a fat baby is a healthy baby) may encourage families to over-feed their children.
The increasingly urbanized and digitalized world offers fewer opportunities for physical activity through healthy play. Being overweight or obese further reduces children’s opportunities to participate in group physical activities. They then become even less physically active, which makes them likely to become more overweight over time.
Prevention of childhood obesityOverweight and obesity are largely preventable. Supportive policies, environments, schools and communities are fundamental in shaping parents’ and children’s choices, making the healthier choice of foods and regular physical activity the easiest choice (accessible, available and affordable), and therefore preventing obesity.
For infants and young children, WHO recommends:early initiation of breastfeeding within one hour of birth;exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of life; andthe introduction of nutritionally-adequate and safe complementary (solid) foods at 6 months together with continued breastfeeding up to two years of age or beyond.Complementary foods should be rich in nutrients and given in adequate amounts. At six months, caregivers should introduce foods in small amounts and gradually increase the quantity as the child gets older. Young children should receive a variety of foods including meat, poultry, fish or eggs as often as possible. Foods for the baby can be specially prepared or modified from family meals. Complementary foods high in fats, sugar and salt should be avoided.
School-aged children and adolescents should:limit energy intake from total fats and sugars;increase consumption of fruit and vegetables, as well as legumes, whole grains and nuts;engage in regular physical activity (60 minutes a day). The food industry can play a significant role in reducing childhood obesity by:reducing the fat, sugar and salt content of complementary foods and other processed foods;ensuring that healthy and nutritious choices are available and affordable to all consumers;practicing responsible marketing especially those aimed at children and teenagers.

In 2019, most families living in poverty earn less than $25,750 per year. More than 37 million people struggle with hunger in the United States, including more than 11 million children.1. 16 million American kids struggle with hunger each year. An estimated 48.8 million Americans , including 16.2 million children, live in households that lack the means to get enough nutritious food on a regular basis. As a result, about 1 in 5 children go hungry at some point during the year. The percent of Black (25.6 percent) and Hispanic households with food-insecure children (24.3 percent) was nearly two times that of white households (13.2 percent) in 2016.3In 2018, 63 percent of food-insecure households were in the labor force; 53 percent were householdswith full-time workers.4More than 38 million people are living in poverty in America. https://www.fda.gov/food/consumers/food-waste-and-lossIn the United States, food waste is estimated at between 30–40 percent of the food supply. This figure, based on estimates from USDA’s Economic Research Service of 31 percent food loss at the retail and consumer levels, corresponded to approximately 133 billion pounds and $161 billion worth of food in 2010. Wasted food is the single largest category of material placed in municipal landfills and represents nourishment that could have helped feed families in need. Additionally, water, energy, and labor used to produce wasted food could have been employed for other purposes. Effectively reducing food waste will require cooperation among federal, state, tribal and local governments, faith-based institutions, environmental organizations, communities, and the entire supply chain.
https://www.rivercottage.net/news/top-five-most-wasted-foods-and-ways-to-save-them-from-the-binHere's our list of the top five most wasted foods and how to use them up.#1 Bread. Over 240 million slices of bread are chucked away every year. ...#2 Milk. Around 5.9 million glasses of milk are poured down the sink every year, but it's so easy to use it up. ...#3 Potatoes. ...#4 Cheese. ...#5 Apples.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) signed a joint agency formal agreement under the Winning on Reducing Food Waste Initiative. The agreement is aimed at improving coordination and communication across federal agencies attempting to better educate Americans on the impacts and importance of reducing food loss and waste.
On April 9, 2019, USDA, EPA, and FDA signed a formal agreement with ReFED, Inc. to collaborate on efforts to reduce food waste in the United States. The agencies and ReFED agreed to develop approaches for measuring the success of food waste strategies, advance data collection and measurement efforts, and to participate as appropriate in the Further with Food: Center for Food Loss and Waste partnership, among other activities.
On October 30, 2019, USDA, EPA, and FDA announced a new partnership with the Food Waste Reduction Alliance (FWRA). Through a Memorandum of Understanding, USDA, EPA and the FDA will formalize industry education and outreach efforts with the Grocery Manufacturers Association, the Food Marketing Institute, and the National Restaurant Association, the three founding partners of the FWRA.

https://www.qsrmagazine.com/outside-insights/food-waste-2020-what-restaurant-tech-trends-watchHow restauraunts deal with wasteAccording to Supply Chain Dive, using this technology could reduce food waste by at least 5 percent within the supply chain. In 2020, restaurant owners can expect that partners may be investing into shelf life-extending technology.
Another trend to watch is technology to deal with food waste such as the use of food waste digesters and dehydrators. More and more facilities are incorporating these machines into their restaurant to minimize the amount of food waste that gets sent to landfills. Digesters first grind up food waste material before breaking it up using a biological additive to accelerate decomposition. Digesters turn organic waste into value-added products. Dehydrators, on the other hand, reduce the weight and volume of the food waste prior to hauling, using a mechanical and thermal approach. Digesters and dehydrators can both handle a variety of volumes of food waste, so be sure to select a model that best matches your restaurant’s needs.
Lastly, within commercial kitchens, several startups have created solutions that target food waste as it is being created. Recently, commercial kitchen equipment has become more efficient and technologically advanced. Some of the advancements in the last few years have helped reduce downtime, energy efficiency and onboarding. As a result, 2020 should see a huge wave of integration of these technologies. For example, Winnow, an AI-powered smart waste bin company, recently raised $12M to improve its technology and focus on product development. According to the brand, kitchens using Winnow tend to see a 40 to 70 percent reduction in food waste within six to 12 months, driving food cost savings between two and eight percent in total. Similar technologies claim to pass the human level accuracy when it comes to waste sorting. In 2020, expect to see this type of technology becoming smarter and being widely implemented within the industry.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LoveWho invented the word love?Ancient Greeks identified four forms of love: kinship or familiarity (in Greek, storge), friendship and/or platonic desire (philia), sexual and/or romantic desire (eros), and self-emptying or divine love (agape).

2. Gifts – a gift says, “He was thinking about me. Look what he got for me.”
3. Acts of Service – Doing something for your spouse that you know they wouldlike. Cooking a meal, washing dishes, vacuuming floors, are all acts of service.
4. Quality time – by which I mean, giving your spouse your undivided attention.Taking a walk together or sitting on the couch with the TV off – talking andlistening.
5. Physical touch – holding hands, hugging, kissing, sexual intercourse, are allexpressions of love.
Out of these five, each of you has a primary love language which speaks moredeeply to you than all the others. Discovering each other’s language and speakingit regularly is the best way to keep love alive in a marriage.Gary Chapman, an author, pastor and speaker, introduced the concept of love languages in his 1992 bestseller, The 5 Love Languages. He suggested that people prefer to receive love in one of five ways: words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, physical touch or receiving gifts.

That’s based on the responses of 10,000 people who took the online quiz on his website in December 2010. Here’s the breakdown:

https://goodmenproject.com/featured-content/say-love-really-mean-lbkr/Rule #1 Don’t say it post-sex. People often say things they don’t mean right after doing the deed, so the bedroom is not the place to divulge those three little words for the first time. Wait for another moment – like taking the dog(s) for a walk, or perhaps when you’re sharing a meal together.
Rule #2 Don’t say it when tipsy, medicated or otherwise intoxicated. You may not remember it if you’re drunk —and it’s hardly romantic. Make sure you’re sober when you do proclaim your love to her or him.
Rule #3 Don’t attempt a grand gesture. Keeping it simple lets her or him know you’re 100-percent serious about her or him, evoking a certain straightforward, no-BS tact that people crave. Make sure your setting is intimate.
Rule #4 Don’t overthink it. The statement is best said when it comes from the heart, not your head. The fact that you mean it and are ready to say will matter the most.
https://susieandotto.com/love-advice/In neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), people are described to take in information and learn in three different ways…
1. Auditory2. Visual3. Kinesthetic
Although we each take in information in all of these ways, most of us have one dominant way. There are many different reasons why someone may not want someone telling them “I Love You” all the time and here are a couple…
If someone doesn’t want to overuse the “I Love You” phrase, it could be that they have witnessed other people in their life saying they love someone and then seeing them doing or saying things that weren’t acts of kindnessor love.
It could also be that they witnessed people saying “I love you” in a way that seemed insincere or trite. They may have done this in the past or saw it done and they don’t want to repeat it.1. Listen, truly listen, to how your partner wants to be loved. If he/she doesn’t want to talk about the topic, pay attention to how the person shows love for you. Understand why your partner has that view.
Kelly’s (one of our coaching clients) husband loved her by “doing” things around the house for her and by fixing things. He also sent her cards and flowers but saying “I love you” to her wasn’t tops on his list. Kelly began opening more to him in ways that showed him she loved him. She began giving him her full attention when he talked with her and by doing that they became closer. And yes, she did feel more loved even though he didn’t say it much more often than he had before.
2. Make sure that actions are in alignment with words. So often people say “I love you” and then in the next moment, do or say something that indicates something far different from love. They may not even realize that they are doing it.
Some people grew up in a family that made cutting, sarcastic remarks and it’s become a habit for them to do it also. They don’t even know that they are doing it–but the other person always does. If a person has witnessed or experienced “I love you” being followed by mean-spirited words or actions, they of course will be wary of using the term.
So make sure that loving actions follow this phrase of endearment.
3. If your partner is wary of using this phrase (for whatever reason), what are some other ways that you enjoy being loved? Do you like foot rubs, someone to help with household chores or the kids, or maybe an evening a week or a month of pampering?
Tell your partner other ways that you’d like to be loved because saying “I love you”–while it can be special–is not the only way to express love.

What builds social and team cohesionNow that we’ve covered what social and team cohesion is not, here are some things you can focus on to build stronger cohesion in your unit:
Mutual support. Social support—the care you give to or get from others—comes in many different forms. Whether it’s helping out a friend, taking care of things at home, or watching your fellow Service Member’s back, social support is a key element in increasing cohesion and strengthening bonds in all kinds of settings.Cooperation. Trust and choice are basic elements that help a group work together smoothly and optimize cooperation. A cohesive unit is made up of members who effectively communicate, overcome conflict, and willingly choose to work together.Shared commitment. In a cohesive group, members are both committed to one another and collectively committed to a task, mission, or cause. Whether it means fostering close one-on-one relationships or recognizing that every member of the team is crucial to achieving unit success, cohesion is all about interdependence and shared goals.
I was listening to a podcastawhile ago about longevity and one of the criteria was having good friendships. Not just freindships of your same age but of different agaes.Have friends who are older and younger than you.It helps gauge where people are in life. Help the older individual still feel noticed and valued in which can helpthem in there quality of life. Same as the young.

1) The rise of technology, leading to loss of time spent in physical proximity to friends.2) The acceptance of gay men into pop-culture, creating a blurred line between straight and homosexual tendencies that has straight men cautiously interacting with one another out of subconscious homophobic fears.
3) The idea that men in Gen Y have declining testosterone levels compared to prior generations and have been raised to be more sensitive by a feminized education system; making guys less capable of stereotypical male bonding behaviors that involve animalistic competition.
4) The shift in gender roles correlating with women’s progress in the workplace causing a lack of continuity amongst Millennial men when it comes to transitions between life stages, embracing adulthood and defining masculinity.
rules for determining when a guy isn’t qualified to be a friend. These include assessing if a guy:
1) Simply wants me to be their friend as part of a superficially desired ideal social life.
2) Does not take on each day as an opportunity to grow and contribute to society.
3) Cannot be honest and authentic about himself and let me be the same.
In utilizing these rules, I am identifying the guys in my life who bring out the best in me. These are guys who are secure enough in themselves to let me be who I am, embrace me with love (yes, male friends can share love) and offer selfless support. I want to surround myself with friendships that stimulate me intellectually, push me to be my best morally and expand my life into new territory. Just like in any partnership, I want to be a better person because of the people I expend energy on.

In other words: It helps people understand their interpretation of the meaning of life.
Spirituality also incorporates healthy practices for the mind and body, which positively influences mental health and emotional wellbeing. Here are some of those benefits:

Abuse in Muslim Schools.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amYhSbmAOMs&t=28sThe end of society as a result of Narcasism.collaboration is collapsing. Everyone has becomeindividualistic. Narcasism is becoming a religion.Old religion doesn't fit modern times. Because religoun has hierarchy and society where everyone believes they are expertsand hate authority.
I believe in Jesus Christ. For some reason when I was a child and I went to church I began to cry maybe because of what the preist was saying. I get a sense of calmness when i go into a church.I feel like I can pray and not have to explain what it is. The Lord already knows. Can't BS.I feel like there is a force outside of me thats like a watcher. Walking blindly. Theres a passage where it states if you ask God for help to get out of a temptatin situationhe will alway give you a way out. It will make it apparent.I personally feel like there is good knowledge proverbs and psalms and they are short and simple.Eclysiastes is a good story about what matters in life.Mybe i like tradition because it is a known path.Less room for error. When i did things that went against the rules I hurt alot. It is not worth. There has been times where I feel like I have been talked to in certain situations when im in a moral moment. There was a time I started watching The Shepards Chapeland studying the bible wih the pastor arnold murrey and listening to the Q A. which broke down modern questions and was able to give it a biblical answer. And I was those types that would post scriptures on facebook all the time where people probably got annoyed. Now that i stop watchingI cannot remembe any passages. Knowing the Bible is a constant thing to keep retention. Sometimes I feel like there is somebody beside me. I don't knowif its a neurological thing or not. If you lived in an area like China where you are constantly monitored and cameras on you.would you do bad things all the time? In a way it might feel like thatwith God. I feel I am where i am in life because of the mercy of others and "Gods Plan".maybe in clinical arenas it might be a cop out.Not being totaly religious with going to church but someone can get involved with a church and have a sense of structure andbe social when it comes to working for a church. If your unemployed or getting assistance you can still be useful in soiety with church. Or religion in general. Jordan Peterson says life is suffering. And because of thatyou become sinical and venchful. It is a bottomless pit.We get an idea of where others mindset is by the religion they follow.brains are wired to make predictions due to past experiences. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0_-7FmrDq8&t=1528sThere are studies that show people in religionare healthier and happier because they are with peoplewith similar beliefs. It reduces stress because of uncertainty.Humans need to impose meanings to emotions and suffering and loss.

This finding suggests that several important avenues for further research remain in this important area. In particular, links between corporate psychopaths, bullying and lowered corporate social responsibility have been established. On the other hand, links between corporate psychopaths, career advancement, fraud, and corporate failure as exemplified in the 2007 global financial crisis, have been under-exploredTo put the matter simplistically, psychopaths are born, and sociopaths are made.
